It is a video camera app that provides users with professional-grade features and options. It allows them to have more control over the video-capturing experience and create a unique and personalized look to their liking.
Similar to FiLMiC Pro or 4K Camera, Protake Mobile Cinema Camera provides users with extensive manual controls over the video-capturing experience not found in a lot of standard camera apps. It achieves this while still being relatively intuitive and easy to use for most users.

There are two core methods to use the Protake - Mobile Cinema Camera app. The first is the fairly standard Auto Mode that follows the same path as most camera apps. In its case, it has been optimized with vlogging and content creation in mind, so it applies various processing algorithms that help creators put out pleasing footage that is basically ready to upload as is.
The other more interesting method with Protake is the Pro Mode, and as its name suggests, unlock pro features and options at your disposal. With it, you can record in LOG format, which is the equivalent of RAW for videos and is ideal for post-editing. Another option is simply choosing from various Cinematic Styles presets to apply while editing to create unique results and looks.
Then, there are various advanced features called Assistants that help you monitor various parameters and inform of various anomalies and issues while recording. Other notable features include Frame Rate Normalization, standardized file naming, and detailed metadata information. The only thing to note is it's not universally compatible with every model out there. Also, there's currently no support for telephoto/zoom lenses.
